I often get questions about setting the sound card levels for the different software modems used with Winlink. I have found with different radios, interfaces, and modem software (Vara HF, ARDOP, Packet and Vara FM), I need to set the Playback and Recording levels differently to achieve the best performance. If you switch things around a lot, or change modes frequently, it can be a problem to remember all the settings.
