Hello All-

Just spent the weekend with an RMS up and running on 15 meters. Unfortunately with the poor band conditions I didn't have anyone connect. Any comments on the best band to have a RMS up on via HF? The station is currently running on a Kenwood TS930, but will be likely changing to a Yeasu FT77 in the near future, once I get a 12V power supply built for it. I'd like to keep the Kenwood running as my "play" station as it's far more advanced than the Yeasu. Besides, the Yeasu runs on 12V - Much more appropriate for this purpose anyways. Currently have a dipole cut for 15M, but soon to be using a Titan DX multiband vertical. Should be interesting to see how much things improve.

Also soon in the works is a RMS on either VHF or UHF - Getting some older Motorola commercial rigs that will be modded for amateur bands, but need to see what bands they cover first..:)

Anyhow, just a bit about my station. Comments/suggestions always welcome!

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software.
