Mexicos FMRE (like ARRL), makes Winlink primary digital communications system.

This year I was able to attend the annual convention and selection of officers for the next 4 years in Mexico City.

They have adopted Winlink officially within their procedures for emergency messaging. This goes hand in hand with the support they have given, along with others, for multiple full service gateways in Mexico.

XE1BRX Mr. Remba and myself along with support from XE2SI Mr. Tellez, provided an introduction session on the Winlink network and Winlink Express.

As I write this the new FMRE President is in Chile, (XE2O Mr. Tamez), at the annual IARU Region 2 conference and giving a talk on Winlink and using some provided materials.

Winlink is always moving forward and Mexico and its amateur radio operators see the value in it.
