VARA debugging

As a sysop how does one do advanced faulting when it comes to VARA .
Currently vary basic logs are saved unlike the other modes where detailed reporting is saved.

Can anyone tell me how often the checks are done between licensed user and sysop station - every exchange or once in beginning or periodically .

Current situation is licensed user connects - full speed then folds back to basically unlicensed speed .
With no advanced debugging it can be a number of issues .
