Disclaimer

The Winlink 2000 Common Message Servers and the participating Winlink 2000 stations make available publicly accessible data ("Public Domain") of meteorological, hydrological and historical data. The National Weather Service, the U.S. Government and other third-party sources, may generate such information. Care must be taken when using such information as it may contain inaccurate or out-of-date information for which the Winlink 2000 developers or system operators are not responsible.

The information transported by and held by the Winlink 2000 system comes from the public domain and may be used freely by the public as long as the user complies with the rules governing Amateur Radio. Before using information obtained from or through the Winlink 2000 system, special attention should be given to the date & time of the data being displayed. Any information passing through the Winlink 2000 system is not guaranteed to be accurate. The developers and system operators of Winlink 2000 will apply their best efforts to inspect and remove content prohibited by rules governing Amateur Radio for the country involved. Should a message or data appear to be in violation of the these rules, the Winlink 2000 system operators have the right to hold or destroy the non-complying data or message.

The Winlink 2000 system and its participating stations strive to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, because of the voluntary nature of those providing this service, timely delivery of data or messages from the Winlink 2000 system may not always be available, and, therefore, is not guaranteed.

Special care is taken by the developers and administrators to protect the Winlink 2000 system and its users from SPAM, malware and viruses, but freedom from these is not guaranteed. Winlink 2000 administrators use special software and services expressly applied for this purpose. The Winlink 2000 system provides each user with their own selectable options for SPAM control. Users are ultimately responsible to properly use these tools.

The Winlink 2000 user assumes the entire risk related to their use of information or data received or sent over the Winlink 2000 system. This information or data is provided "as is", and the Winlink 2000 developers, administrators, and system operators disclaim any and all warranties, whether express or implied, including (without limitation) any implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. In no event will the Winlink 2000 system developers, administrators or operators be liable to users or to any third-party for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages resulting from any use or misuse of the system or from data acquired from it.

By using the Winlink 2000 system, the user agrees with, understands, and holds the developers, administrators, and system operators of the Winlink 2000 system harmless per the conditions set forth herein.
