Cycle to the Summit (Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb)

Once again, Winlink using 9600 bd packet P2P was used to send 18 files from the Summit of Pikes Peak (14,115 ft) to a coordination point about 5.5 miles away and 5000 ft down the mountain. Equipment used: Yaesu radios and PK96 USB TNCs. Driving between the points as 12.4 miles, 156 turns, and takes 30-40 minutes. Data transfer takes less than 2 minutes.

WX9EMS-10 Winlink Node Back Up and Running

WX9EMS-10 Winlink node is back up and operating again as intended.

There was a glitch in Windows 7 that prompted the deletion of the RMS Packet directory. I reinstalled RMS Packet and configured it to my equipment and all is good currently.

All are welcome to use the WX9EMS-10 WL2K node, just be sure to follow all FCC and Winlink rules.

Thanks,

Daniel Kundert, WX9EMS
